AWS Shad Project 2010

The Anacostia Watershed Society Education Team worked with students from DC schools to help restore the North American Shad population in the Anacostia River. AWS Educators caught shad, harvested their eggs, distributed them to schools, visited the classes to show them the hatching process, and then brought the students to the Old Port of Bladensburg where they released the new fish into the river.
